Meet Marty,

TheBusMan

Marty Rhyne, a North Carolina native, grew up around used buses.
The Busman

“I remember when my dad bought the first bus when I was only 10 years old. It was a 1948 GM PD-3751 Model. Even though the bus was ugly, I fell in love with it!”

From that moment on, he knew he was hooked. As a result, Marty built a business of his own buying and selling used buses for over 35 years. He’s seen a lot of changes in the bus industry, especially for bus owners. Having had the experience of leasing and traveling on a variety of coaches, Marty possesses a keen awareness of the needs of not only the passenger but the bus owner as well.

Using his knowledge of the market with his gift of never meeting a stranger, Marty’s client base is impressively strong and loyal, extending to both buyers and those looking to sell used buses. Some of his satisfied customers are from the private sector, from families building memories on the road to entertainers booked for nationwide tours. In other cases, Marty has brokered bus deals for commercial companies providing transportation to the public; because of his specialization in Greyhound and Trailways buses, Marty has an expert focus on this particular market. Above all, Marty’s decades of experience and unforgettable personality enables him to meet the needs of every client that reaches out to him, no matter what kind of bus they are looking for.

“I’ve never liked to refer to myself as a salesman. I’m more of an order-taker,” Marty says.

Whether you are a charter/tour company, church group, university/school, private institution, musician, or just someone looking to buy or sell a used bus, TheBusMan can help you find the bus that checks all your boxes.

In my line of work, I meet new people every week… Occasionally, I meet someone who doesn’t simply say what they think I want to hear or benefits them. Marty is one of those rare individuals. His advice, sincerity, and genuine concern in helping me make a decision on the “right” bus were decisive factors for me in choosing to buy from him; these are also the same reasons I continue to call him long after the sale was made. It’s nice to have a good bus… it’s great to have good advice from a sincere professional!
